Deroma Cilindro Italian Terracotta Planters
This Deroma Cilindro Luna terracotta planter has a straight cylinder shape that will work in most any setting and decorating style. Pair the two available sizes and use them for small houseplants, herbs, or small flower bulbs like fragrant hyacinths, for display in your home or garden. These beautiful terracotta plant pots also make beautiful containers for centerpieces. Fill them with fragrant rosemary, sage, or thyme for your centerpieces, or a mix of succulents or smaller, leafy plants, for your non-floral centerpieces. These pots are made from the Terra di Galestro from the Tuscan hills, a raw material obtained from a gray rock that then takes on its characteristic red color when burned. The old clay composition is a mixture of clayey minerals that enrich the basic properties of this earth, including pyrite, which gives the planters an irregular effect and makes each pot one-of-a-kind. The presence of pyrite particles creates shades of color and fascinating natural irregularities, while the use of plaster molds, special cooking processes and manual finishing for the final touch.
