For this GEOMETRY LESSON, floral designer Lindsey Taylor channels the rigorous energy of a cheery, abstract canvas by Etel Adnan. 'Straight-edged ceramics and massed blooms approximate the grid of Etel Adnan's untitled painting (1972-1975).'
She massed groupings of flowers cut to similar heights into geometric ceramic vases: white mini gladiolas in a white cylinder, chartreuse leucadendron in a red cube and blue eryngium and nigella in a black cube.
