Golf of Tantawan Bloom
Originally from Thailand before being trained in Chicago and New York, Golf draws from his childhood to bring traditional Thai elements into his design. Growing up in the country surrounded by trees and other greenery, Golf adds a touch of exotic to his events. "In Thailand we use garlands galore, so for my events I try to incorporate them when possible," explains Golf. "We have done weddings where all the napkin rings were hand-sewn garland from rose petals. We've even used bamboo with a modern twist. In Thailand we love a lot of floating flowers, so many of our designs feature submerged flowers in water with leaves and stems to create an encompassing sculpture. It does require a great deal of time to produce but the result is always a WOW factor for guests. I loved seeing floating candles and flowers as a child growing up and am so happy that I can bring an elevated design that incorporates them."
And each event is carefully tailored to each client. Running with 'The Man Repeller', Leandra Medine’s, 'Midnight in Paris' themed wedding, Golf went back to the glamorous 1920’s. "Because she is recognized worldwide in today’s fashion community, instead of having a sit down dinner with round tables, we mixed things up," explains Golf on his concept for the event. "We combined modernism with the old world glamorous style and used square and rectangular tables with a custom-made mirror top with chair covers covered in an archaic metallic sparkle. The floral designs were in a modern arrangement in 1920's inspired containers with a touch of white feathers and sparkling crystals. We wanted the wedding to be as unique as possible, so we included a fun cocktail lounge, dance party style, where everyone could dance, have fun, and have the best night of their life!"

So what does Golf see coming up in event trends for 2015? A modern and clean take on design, white and soft pastels with pops of accent color to add an edge. “I see modern becoming more luxurious in the New Year,” explains Golf. “I love silver and gold mixed together with soft pastels and unpredictable pops of color.” And the items he can’t live without? “Square Glass Crystal Bud Vases and Square Crystal Candle Holders,” says Golf. “They are strong, sexy modern and to me they are just perfect to WOW my clients…and my floral knife.” Learn more about Golf and Tantawan Bloom at their website here, or shop Jamali Garden’s crystal bud vases, featured in Golf’s Grace Ormond Wedding Style tabletop shoot above, here.
